Job Description

Salary: $62,500 - 86,125 per year Requirements:

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience, with 5–8 years of CNC programming and tool manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with standard tooling concepts, practices, and procedures
• Experience with 3D CAM software required
• AutoDesk PowerMill experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts while maintaining quality and safety standards, records, equipment, and supplies
• Troubleshoot machinery and programming issues using machining practices to produce quality parts
• Analyze complex job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, computer models, and design data to calculate dimensions, select tools, and determine machine speeds and feed rates
• Plan machine-operation sequences and choose cutting tools to shape workpieces
• Establish reference points, cutting paths, and hole locations, and calculate complex angular and linear dimensions
• Program complex parts with CAM software and generate accurate, usable NC code
• Research and recommend ways to increase machine run time
• Monitor machining results, verify finished work and dimensions, and maintain the accuracy of drawings and programs
• Study and recommend improvements to CAM techniques and internal software products
• Evaluate systems using quantitative results and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with designers, machinists, tool makers, and management to resolve programming questions and challenges
• Set up and operate machines as needed to support production
• Assist other programmers and production-floor personnel as needed
