Benefits (Part-time): Life Assistance Program Paid Holidays Paid Vacation/Sick Credit Union Benefits and Discounts $750.00 Referral Bonus Program Retirement Plan (403B) Direct Deposit Reliable Schedule Early Intervention Assistant Essential Responsibilities: Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment Respects and promotes the right of individuals Provides ongoing support to therapists and teachers by encouraging children to participate in therapy group or other program activities Builds, supports, and maintains relationships with participating families Assists children in safely completing therapeutic activities and promote social interaction and play Leads the developmental center activities by providing stimulating and structured play activities for children to practice the skills that they are learning in their therapy groups Participates in daily collaboration and monthly staff meetings Participates in maintenance of equipment and toys Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs Early Intervention Assistant Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age High School diploma or equivalent; required Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related field; preferred Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required Work collaboratively with families Ability to maintain confidentiality Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with disabilities in Southern California.
